Swift River
From Ardesia
The Swift River runs from its source beyond the Dayfall Mountains to the sea beyond the Fens. It passes through the Dayfalls at Hadur's Canyon and cascades through the Briarwind Hills, passing north of High Castle and through the shadow of Rook's Hollow. It loops lazily through the floodplains of the Swift Valley, becoming broader and deeper. In the Valley it is fed by streams with sources as far apart as the Spine and the Wraithspur Mountains.
The River often overflows its banks during the long, rainy spring, flooding the amaranth fields of the Swift Valley for the planting season.
