The Rightspear

The Rightspear is a legendary spear once wielded by Hadur. It resurfaced during the Witch Wars, wielded by the Kelon Djacobi, before being lost again. The city of Rightspear was named for the weapon in the first years of Tayel.

The legends say that the Rightspear could harm only wrongdoers, and so its likeness appears as a symbol of justice, or, increasingly, as a symbol of rightness. Depictions of the Rightspear are usually stylised as an upright bar with a small loop or circle at the bottom and a single back-facing barb at the top. The barb has traditionally appeared to the left, but versions with the barb to the right or with two barbs have appeared in recent years.

There is a traditional reward for returning the Rightspear to the Lord Mayor of Rightspear of the Merchant's Crown.
