Torr Aegis

Torr Aegis is a solitary, steep summit that rises high above the trees of the Serpent Wood and the Fens where they meet at their respective eastern and northern edges. The mountain's blunt peak can be seen from everywhere in the Swift Valley when not obscured by nearby trees or buildings.

Old legends predating even the reign of the Asnoth Circle say that Torr Aegis shields the land from a destructive force. The nature of this mythical force has been long forgotten, but the evocation of a shield remains in the mountain's name.
