The Winter Weald is a frozen wasteland of forested hills nestled between the Swift River to the south and the western peaks of the Wraithspur Mountains to the north and west. Sparsely populated before the Witch Wars, ever since then the land has been in the grip of a year-round winter. The Weald is continuous with the Serpent Wood to the east, their border marked doubly by the edge of the foothills and the limits of the cold.
